San Marino, the world's oldest republic, has issued the 2005 set of their famous euro coins. These coins have an exceedingly low mintage, as have most of the coins of San Marino over the years.

The introduction of the Euro has had a phenominal effect on the number of collectors, not just in Europe, but world-wide who are chasing a fixed number of coins in the hope that they can be the lucky ones. The euro coins from this small republic which is contained within the borders of Italy, rank with those of Monaco, and the Vatican in being some of the worlds' most sought after coins.

These mint sets contain not only the normal 1,2,5,10,20,50 cent and 1 & 2 Euro coins but also a new 5 Euro coin in Silver. This coin carries the bust of Antonio Onofri on the obverse, with the "Three Towers" symbol of the Republic on the reverse.

The set is mint sealed in a presentation pack, and then in a decorative protective sleeve. This is the last set which we have.
