Birth of the Count de Chambord as heir to the French throne, in Paris, 29th September 1820. After the death of his grand-father (Charles X) in 1836 he became the legitimate pretender to the French throne under the name HENRY V. Louis-Philippe was still king, having succeeded Charles X in 1830. In 1848 rebellion overtook the course of history, and he was never to become king. Obv:His mother sitting on a chaise-long, holding the infant in her outstretched arms; rays extending from above; on the right is a bust of his recently deceased father, the Duke of Berry. "Dieu Nous l'a Donné" Exergue:"Nos Coeurs et Nos Bras Sont a Lui". Rev. Victory carrying a sword and shield, standing triumph over a winged creature, lying vanquished at her feet. "29 Sept. 1820".
Henri de Bourbon, duc de Bordeaux, comte de Chambord (Paris, 1820 - Frohsdorf, Autriche, 1883), prince français, fils posth. du duc de Berry et petit-fils de Charles X. Après la mort de son grand-père (1836), il devint le prétendant légitimiste au trône sous le nom d'Henri V.
