This beautiful set of medallions was issued in 1981 to celebrate the wedding of His Royal Highness, Prince Charles to Lady Diana Spencer (29 July 1981) and shows in great detail the Armourial bearings and badges associated with the two families.
Each medallion is 40 x 30 cms, and is made of silver, plated with gold, and is struck to a proof mirror finish which is evident in item 1. where the scanner has caused an image of the dragon's wing in the field behind it. Any colours shown are produced by the scanner - the medallions are perfect.
Produced by the Danbury Mint, these items are contained in a polished mahogany flip-top case with a felt lined recess for each individual medallion. All the reverses are the same and carry the name of that medallion and the words "Limited Edition" with the Danbury Mint logo.
