Obverse:Expedition Ibero - Americana of 1929/1930 held in Sevilla, Spain. Shows a very tall tower behind which is a three-masted ship in full sail.
Signed by the manufacturers - Arnillas y Matallana, Madrid and by the designer Santiago Martines Dib:
Reverse:A shield of arms with the legend "Portugal" and "America" on banners each side with text in five lines below "Reinando S.M.D. Alphonso XIII se celebro este certamen fraternal de los pueblos de la Raza Sevilla. 1929 1930. Carries the initials of the Madrid manufactory (AM), and those of the designer (SM).

This medal weighs 100 grams, is made of bronze and is gold plated. In its design, it has some references to Spain, and some to Portugal. I have no information on this item and must assume that the ship is that used by Christopher Columbus when he discovered America. Portugal is mentioned in the legend, but it is manufactured in Madrid. Seville is mentioned in the legend. Condition: Gilding is rubbed in places with some localised scratching on the surface. One very light edge bump.
