A bronze medal of 58mm dia for the 75th anniversary of the re-opening of the university in Louvain (Belgium). The medal, by F.Vermeylen, shows on the obverse the figure of Wisdom seated holding a book and a torch, with a cross above. The legend says 'Universitas Catholica Louvaniensis 1834-1909' The reverse has a view of the Great Hall with columns and beams and in the exergue the legend in French and Dutch '75e. Anniversaire de la reinstallation de l'Universite Catholique'. The medal is in excellent condition.
