In the shape of the Victoria Cross, this medallion shows on the Obverse:In the left quarter, a sprig of Irish clover with the legend Born 1819 - In the top quarter, a crown with the words Crowned 1838 - in the right quarter, a pair of Scottish thistles with the legend Married 1840, and in the lower quarter, an English Rose with the legend Jubilee 1897.
In the centre is a removable ring holding an original old photograph of the queen.
On the reverse the four sections have text only and read as follows Left - Thy Choicest Gifts in Store on Her be Pleased to Pour Long May She Reign May She Defend our Laws Top - God Save Our Gracious Queen Long May She Reign God Save the Queen Send Her Victorious Right- And Ever Give Us Cause to Sing With Heart and Voice God Save the Queen Lower - Happy and Glorious Long to Reign over Us God Save the Queen and in the Centre - God Save the Queen
