Declaration of Peace - 1919
An oval shaped cast medallion issued at the end of the first World War to celebrate the new Peace. It has an integral suspension loop with a red, white, and blue ribbon. There is a velvet lined case designed to hold a similar type of medal inscribed Memorial of Office - City of Glasgow - around the City arms.
Obverse:- A female figure in long formal dress holding a sprig of olive (?), her other hand resting on a sheathed sword. A thistle either side, and a Crown above.
Legend:- Declaration of Peace - 1919
Reverse:- (I Guess) The arms of the 'see' of Glasgow. A thistle each side, another above.
